Pricing Policy
Should any pricing or copy errors occur on this or any third party website operated by or on behalf of Jewels by Alex, we reserve the right to correct them. We strive to maintain an accurate price representation for all products represented herein. Price discrepancies, as the result of technical or human error, will not be honored.
Sale Price Adjustments
Sale price adjustments must be made within 7 days of the original ship date unless otherwise specified. Price adjustments will be provided as store credit.
Cancel or Change an Order
If you would like to change or cancel an order please email info@jewelsbyalex.com. We will attempt to accommodate order changes to the extent possible prior to shipping confirmation. Some changes will result in a shipping delay. We are unable to accommodate changes or cancellations on special order requests and/or orders that have already shipped. If your order has already shipped, please contact us to set up a merchandise return once you have received the shipment.
Sales Tax
Sales tax is determined by the zip code to which you are delivering your order, and is calculated based on the total cost of your order.
Quality Control
All products are carefully inspected by us when they are received from our vendors or custom made from our in-house jeweler. We verify that each item meets the exacting quality standards that we have set for that product. Our quality control team will again inspect your order prior to shipping to insure the product still meets these standards after having been sized or custom ordered.
Order Processing
Order processing includes credit validation, name and address verification and fraud protection screening for your security. We also provide free gift wrapping and will include a gift message free of charge if you have selected these options. Order processing also includes sizing and special ordering if required. Once these steps are complete, your order is ready for final inspection and packaging.
Orders not requiring sizing or special ordering will be processed as follows:
Orders placed before 12:00 PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday will be processed the next business day
Orders placed after 12:00 PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday or on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, will be processed within the next two business days.
Orders requiring sizing or special ordering will be processed as follows:
Standard sizes for most rings are size 6-6 1/2 for women and 9-10 for men. To request a ring in any other size can add up to 5 business days to the total delivery time. Your confirmation email will have all the necessary time frames for your delivery.
Some ring materials, such as stainless steel, titanium or intricately carved or engraved rings must be special ordered, for non-standard sizes. The additional time that will be added to the total delivery time in your confirmation email.
If you cannot find what you want among our, extensive online selection, please don’t hesitate to contact us for any special requests. We will attempt to accommodate your request to the best of our ability.
Shipping and Delivery Options
Once processed, your order will be shipped out and arrive at your designated shipping destination according to the delivery method you selected when you placed your order. Also upon shipping, you will receive an email containing your tracking number.
Your shipping and delivery options for in-stock items include the following:
Standard Shipping: Standard shipping orders to US continental addresses will arrive five to seven business days* after being shipped from our store. An adult signature (over 21 years of age) is required for delivery.
Expedited Shipping: Expedited shipping orders to US continental addresses will arrive three business days* after being shipped from our store. An adult signature (over 21 years of age) is required for delivery.
Express Shipping: Express shipping orders to U.S. continental addresses will arrive one to two business days* after being shipped from our store. An adult signature (over 21 years of age) is required for delivery.
Overnight Shipping: Overnight shipping orders to U.S. continental addresses will arrive one business day* after being shipped from our store. An adult signature (over 21 years of age) is required for delivery.
PO Box Shipping: PO Box shipping orders to US continental addresses will arrive three to five business days* after being shipped from our store. An adult signature (over 21 years of age) is required for delivery.
APO/FPO Shipping: Overseas orders being sent to APO/FPO addresses will arrive within seven to fourteen days* after being shipped from our store via USPS Priority Mail.
Alaska and Hawaii Shipping: Orders being shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will arrive two to three business days* after being shipped from our store. An adult signature (over 21 years of age) is required for delivery.
Jewels by Alex In-Store Pick up: jewelsbyalex.com is pleased to be able to offer in-store pickup of all items at our store. If the item purchased is custom made or sizing is need please allow up 3-4 (depending on time of year this could be sooner) days for pick-up. Once your order has been completed, you will receive an email confirming that it is ready for pickup.
*Delivery times listed in this section do not include order processing time… For a total estimated delivery time, add the shipping time and the order processing time. For a list of order processing times, please refer to the section titled order processing.
Package Protection Policy
For insurance and security reasons and to ensure your purchase arrives safely in your hands, we along with our shipping partners have instituted the following package protection policy.
Each order is sent fully insured at no additional cost to you.
An adult (21 years of age or over) signature is required to receive packages.
All orders over $350 where a major credit card is used as payment must be shipped to one of the following types of addresses:
You’re billing address on file with your credit card issuing bank.
An authorized alternate address that you have pre-registered with your credit card issuing bank.
A staffed UPS Customer Center.
All orders where the Jewels by Alex credit card is used as payment must be sent to the customer’s billing address.
Shipping to an Alternate or Non-Billing Address*
For gift givers who want to surprise their loved one with a gift, we want to help you maintain the surprise and get your gift where you need it when you need it. We can ship your gift via Express Delivery to get it there quickly for a fast-upcoming special occasion, or we can work with you to get your order shipped to your work or other location that is not your home billing address to help you maintain your surprise. If you will not be home to sign for your order, we can ship your order to your place of work, or another more convenient destination. Here are your options:
Ship to an alternate address that you have pre-registered with your credit card company
As a convenience to customers who wish to ship valuable items to addresses that are not their home billing addresses while still protecting against fraud, most credit card issuing banks allow their customers to register these alternate addresses in advance. To help expedite your order, simply call your issuing bank first before shopping from our web site and provide them with your desired alternate shipping address..
Once you place an order for over $150 and choose a shipping address other than your billing address, we will be able to automatically confirm that your credit card or financing company has this alternate shipping address, such as your place of work, on file, and rapidly process your order.
Ship to an authorized, staffed UPS Customer Center
If you cannot be available or have some other trusted adult available to sign for your package, you can have it shipped to the most convenient UPS center so that you can sign for and pick it up at your leisure. Find the address of the staffed UPS Customer Center nearest you.
Note: You may only choose a staffed UPS Customer Center. The staffed centers will display on the UPS Drop-off Locations Results page with a brown square in front of the location.
*These options are not available on purchases where a Jewels by Alex Credit Card is used as payment.
International Order & Shipping Policies
These policies apply to jewelsbyalex.com web site orders to be shipped to Australia, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Taiwan, US Virgin Islands, and all other countries outside the U.S. to which we may ship, except where noted for shipments to the U.A.E. and China. Importer of Record
When ordering from Jewels by Alex, except for shipments to the U.A.E. and China, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Title and risk of loss for items ordered will transfer to the recipient upon delivery to the common carrier in the United States. For shipments to the U.A.E. and China, title and risk of loss for items order transfer to the recipient upon pick up or delivery in the U.A.E. and China.
Prior to delivery to the recipient, the shipment may be subject to the customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges of the destination country. These charges are always the recipient’s responsibility. For further details, read about Customs, Duties and Taxes.
Items eligible to be shipped under our international shipping policy are based on the destination country.
International Shipping
For shipments destined for Australia, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Taiwan and US Virgin Islands, all products on our U.S. Web site are eligible.
All international orders will be shipped, with no additional charge, via UPS International or FedEx International Priority®. Please note that the arrival times listed on the U.S. web site apply to U.S. shipping addresses only. Asset Protection
Asset Protection will be provided by a premier global insurance company for all orders shipped internationally. A fee of 0.20-0.30% of the value of your order will be applied during the checkout process, except for orders to the U.A.E. and China. This protects your order from the time it leaves Jewels by Alex to when it arrives at your door. This policy is an agreement between the customer and the insurance company. Details about the insurance company and claims process will be provided to you, following your purchase, in your order confirmation email. Order Payment
Orders shipping to Australia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, or the US Virgin Islands must meet a minimum retail order value. Please contact us at sales@jewelsbyalex.com for minimums.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
The customs office of the destination country may impose customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges to your international order where applicable. These additional charges required for customs clearance are the responsibility of the recipient. When your order arrives at customs either our shipper, FedEx, UPS or the customs office will contact you directly to arrange for the payment of any charges that may be due. In some circumstances FedEx/UPS is required to pay certain duties and taxes, in advance, on a customer’s behalf. For instance, FedEx/UPS may pay an advance fee when countries require that duties and taxes be paid prior to customs release or prior to certain items clearing customs. In these instances, FedEx/UPS will assess an Advancement Fee surcharge that will be billed to the party designated to pay duties and taxes.
Please be advised that Jewels by Alex has no control over these charges. The actual amount charged by customs may differ from the rates below. Country of origin information for your order can be provided by contacting us at sales@jewelsbyalex.com to help assist in estimating import duties. Please contact your local customs office for further details.
International Payment Methods
For orders shipping to Australia, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and the US Virgin Islands, we offer the following payment methods:
Bank Wire / International Money Transfer (IMT) / Telegraphic Transfer (TT): Arrange payment through your bank and receive a 1.5% discount.
Bank wires may take up to 3 business days to be received.
The bank wire discount is applied before the shipping insurance charge is added. For split payments using bank wires and another method of payment, the bank wire discount is applied to the portion paid by bank wire.
Note: most banks charge a fee for the transmission of a bank wire. Please ensure that your bank has included this fee when processing your bank wire. There are no fees from our bank to receive the bank wire.
Credit Card: Use your Visa or MasterCard with a local billing address in any of the countries we ship to. We accept American Express (USD only), Discover, Diners Club, or JCB card for orders placed in USD. To use other credit cards, we recommend using PayPal as it accepts a variety of other cards.
PayPal: Use PayPal for orders in USD only, please contact us for other currencies we may accept via paypal.
Financing Programs: The Jewels by Alex credit card is available for residents of the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands for purchases made in US dollars.
We do not accept payments made in cash, by check, ACH, or debit cards without the Visa or Mastercard logo requiring use of a PIN. For orders shipping to Mexico, payment may be made using bank wire only. There is a 1.5% discount for payments made via bank wire. We reserve the right to request additional information about your payment method or identity before your order can be processed.
For orders shipping, to China we offer the following payment methods:
Bank Wire / Telegraphic Transfer (TT): Bank wire is the fastest and easiest way to pay for orders shipping to China. The standard 1.5% discount for bank wire payments does not apply to orders shipping to China.
Shipping Information, Method & Limits
Jewels by Alex will ship any order under $25,000 to an APO, FPO, or DPO address. We ship all APO/FPO orders via USPS Priority Mail to the appropriate APO/FPO processing center then via the military postal service and shipment tracking is not available for APO/FPO addresses. For security purposes, USPS will not show a delivery scan or in transit scans for packages sent to these addresses.
Estimated Shipping Times
Jewels by Alex guarantees your package will arrive at the appropriate APO/FPO processing center within 2-4 business days. Most shipments usually arrive to you within a total of 5-10 business days. However, some orders may take up to 20 business days to arrive. If you are already familiar with sending packages to APO & FPO addresses, your Jewels by Alex order is likely to arrive in about the same amount of time.
Insurance
As with all Jewels by Alex orders, your shipment is insured from the moment it leaves our door until it arrives at yours.
Sales Tax Information
Because APO/FPO addresses are considered domestic, no taxes or duties are due on orders shipped to them. If an order is shipped directly to a base, rather than through the APO/FPO system, however, taxes and duties would be applicable. Jewels by Alex will include all required tax documentation with your order.

Improperly formatting your address may result in delivery delays. Please enter your ship to information in the following format for APO/FPO/DPO shipments:

Returns
Jewels by Alex’s regular return policy apply to orders shipped to APO/FPO addresses. Although Jewels by Alex standard return period is 15 days after shipping, we understand that packages shipped to APO/FPO addresses may take longer than this to arrive. If your order does not arrive within 15 days, you may still return your order.
Product Restrictions
Shipments are subject to the import restrictions of the country in which your base is located. See https://www.usps.com/ship/apo.htm for details.

“My billing address is an APO/FPO, but I want to send an order to an address state side; can I do this?”
Yes, we can deliver to US addresses if your billing address is an APO/FPO.
“Will a signature be required for delivery?”
Signature requirements will be determined by the military postal service.
“I am posted overseas, can my shipment from Jewels by Alex be sent via APO/FPO/DPO to my location?”
Yes, we ship orders going to APO address with all documentation needed for Customs clearance via APO mail system. Orders shipped overseas via a APO/FPO/DPO are subject to the destination country’s restrictions on prohibited items but are not subject to local duty or sales tax.
“If I’m in a hurry to get my shipment, can I send it to my local address instead of using the APO address?”
You may ship orders directly to your local U.S. base address, subject to military restrictions, for faster delivery times. Any international shipments sent to a non-APO/FPO/DPO address are subject to the local country’s duties and taxes.
